Getting Started with a Gaming Computer
So you started getting yourself into gaming, well in such a case then you need a gaming computer. A gaming computer is not just for crazy computer geeks who have nothing better to do but play games on they're spare time, but they are for normal people as well. If you are one of those crazy people who do nothing but play games on your spare time, then sorry no offense. I'm just trying to inform those who are looking into getting a gaming computer, and what is necessary to get one. Even an average gaming computer is probably way more faster than your desktop computer at home. Standard computers are far more different than a standalone gaming computer which is dedicated for only that purpose.

Gaming Computer Hardware
The hardware in a gaming computer is what sets it apart from all other computers, laptops and netbooks. Just as a netbook has its hardware dedicated for its use such as the Intel Atom processor, you won't find that in a full sized desktop computer. Instead, in a gaming computer you may find something such as the Intel Core i7 Extreme edition processor. This processor was made for the purpose of being installed in a gaming computer. It has a whopping 3.33GHz core speed out of the box. And it hyperthreads well with 8 processing threads!

CPU Cooling (Liquid Vs Fans)
Usually a gaming computer will not just stick to its default core speed for its processor. Instead it will use the tools available on the BIOS to overclock it to the maximum possible. Of course doing this yourself is not the greatest thing if you don't have some degree of technical knowledge. You want to keep the processor in its normal operating temperature range. And overclocking your CPU in a gaming computer can make the CPU generate more heat which is why you will find liquid cooling systems in a gaming computer quite often. However on the cheaper there are advanced heatsink and cooling fan tools out there for your gaming computer such as the Cooler Master V12. This thing literally looks like a V12 engine.
How to Setup SLI
SLI Networked GPUs
Inside a gaming computer you will find the most advanced graphics card ever seen, unlike any standard computer system. Also you may find more than one graphics accelerator card because nvidia, the biggest baddest creator of graphics cards has a method of internetworking the GPUs together to work with each other in a format known as Scalable Link Interface or SLI for short. Multiple GPUs can work together as one and also multiple graphics cards can control multiple flat panel monitors to give you extra wide viewing area for games like first person shooters.

Your First Gaming Computer
Your first gaming computer may be a bit costly to you, but you can save by buying something which can be easily expanded, so instead of putting all your money into the hardware the day you get it, you can upgrade things like graphics cards, RAM, and disk space at a later date such as when you get your next work check. Manufactures often offer system builders for a gaming computer, this allows you to customize the hardware before they build it and ship it to you for a more personalized setup and gaming system.
